Create the look
What you’ll need:
- Drop sheet
- Masking tape
- Sandpaper
- Lacquer thinners and soft cloth
- Painter’s Touch 2X Bundle Pack – black
Prepare
Degrease and dust your drinks trolley before starting to paint, using your Lacquer thinner and soft cloth. Tape up the wheels to protect from paint. Work in a well ventilated area using your drop sheet. Like a martini that’s shaken not stirred – make sure you shake your can for at least a minute after the balls begin to rattle.
Top Tip
If you develop any drips or runs – lightly sand, dust and recoat.
Paint
Apply two to three light coats of Painter’s Touch 2X top coat allowing 30 min dry time between coats. Be sure to hold the can upright, 30cm from the surface, using slow steady hand motions to avoid runs and slightly overlapping each stroke.
Finish
Second coats must be applied within 60 min of the first coat (whilst the first coat is touch dry) or after 48 hours (once the first coat has completely cured.) For extra durability – you can add a clear top coat from the same range. Stock with glasses galore and whatever tipple and drinks delight you – and drink a toast to the success of your paint project.
