Festive season budgets are shrinking, and this crafty festive season decoration idea is a great way to double-up on a gift for the garden, with stockings for those stocking stuffers, to hang on your mantle.
Here’s how to turn the gift of gardening gloves into a pair of stockings.
You will need:
Gardening gloves from Builders
1x pack wooden clothes pegs
1x Litehouse Iron Star Fairy Lights (3000mm)
1x roll of ribbon
Scissors
Instant snow (optional)
Baubles, pine leaves, cones, decorations, a few candy canes etc. for decoration.
Clip the gardening gloves to the fairy lights with the wooden pegs, leaving room in between for your decorations and candy canes.
STEP 2.
Spray your chosen decorations, (pine leaves, cones etc.) with instant snow. Clip the decorations in place on the fairy lights, using the wooden pegs.
STEP 3.
To hang the candy canes, make loops using the ribbon. Loop these through the fairy light string, and hang the candy canes off them.
STEP 4.
Fill the gloves with your stocking fillers. Making a fun alternative to the traditional hanging stocking is as easy as that, and, it’s a great way to start a new tradition, or to get the kids interested in gardening, this festive season.
