Plants for the paving
Large paved areas in a garden can be very boring and one unfortunately often ends up inheriting spaces like this when moving into a new home.
Improve your paving with plants
Not surprisingly, an area like this can really be improved by the addition of some paving plants! Start by lifting a few of the pavers, either in a group or evenly across the space. Next, dig up and remove some of the original soil and replace it with a mixture of compost and potting soil in preparation for the planting. Determine whether the area is generally sunny, shady or in between and select some tough plants that will suit the conditions. These are a few of the plants I would choose for planting within spaces in paving.
