Make the kids a fun hanging rack from toy figurines, a piece of timber and a few easy steps.
You will need:
- a piece of timber
- 90mm dowel stick
- toy figurines
- sander
- hand saw
- drill driver
- glue gun
- craft knife
- screws
Step 1
Prep your base:
We used 20 x 94 x 600mm timber. Sand it before letting kids paint or stain it.
Step 2
Cut the toy figurines in half with a craft knife.
Step 3
Measure and cut the dowel stick for each figurine. You can also use an old broom handle.
Step 4
Drill a 3mm clearance hole in each of the cut dowel pieces.
Step 5
Measure, mark and drill a 3mm clearance hole on the base where each hanging hook will go.
Step 6
Fasten each dowel piece into place with 40mm screws. Glue each figurine to the dowel pieces.
Mount the rack and let the kids have fun while doing their chores.
