Here’s how you can turn a tree stump in your backyard into a beautiful table – such a fun DIY for your garden!
This tree stump table is perfect for spending time outside!
You will need:
- A tree stump
- some ply board
- 60mm cut screws
- wood sealer
Step 1
Ensure the stump is level. You can do this with a saw or a planer. We used a planer.Step 2
For the table top we doubled up an 18mm board, but you can use any timber you may have. Top Tip: Use wood glue and 30mm screws to join the 2 pieces.Step 3
Use a jigsaw to cut the table top to shape and then sand smooth.Step 4
Seal the bottom of the table top. When it’s dry, secure it to the stump with 60mm screws.Step 5
Lastly, apply two coats of sealer to the table top. Sealing is important for weather proofing outdoor timber.
You’re done! Now you have a sturdy and unique outdoor table!
