Chalking Up Egg-cellent Easter Decor Ideas

Easy Chalk Paint Eggs For Easter

What you’ll need:

Fresh or plastic eggs – 6 to 12
Tree branches – faux or fresh
Chalked paint – brush on 250ml cans in multiple colours
Stir stick, paint brushes and a drop sheet
Craft knife/needle, paper clip, aspirator and bamboo sosatie sticks
Oasis/polystyrene block, bright ribbon and glue gun
Presentation vase / jar

Prepare

Use the craft knife to make small incisions on each end of the egg. Use an unfolded paper clip to break up the yolk inside the shell. Force the egg out by placing an aspirator into one hole and blowing it out the other.
Gently wipe the empty egg shells clean.
Install drop sheet and carefully insert bamboo stick into each egg before standing upright in oasis.
Select a colour and mix well using a stir stick – do not shake the tin.

Paint

Paint the entire egg in one direction
Apply a second coat 20 – 30 mins apart and leave to dry
Optional: Use an old toothbrush to flick on “speckles” in a contrasting colour – alternatively add spots and stripes with a brush
Repeat this process with all the eggs and Chalked paint colours
