Make your own nourishing leaf mould to feed your garden using items you already have in your garden.
You will need:
- raked up leaves
- grass clippings
- shredded newspaper
- secateurs
- black refuse bag
Step 1
Add layers of leaves, lawn clippings & shredded newspaper into the black bag.
Step 2
Add moisture to the mixture. Ensure newspaper is thoroughly wet.
Step 3
Using the secateurs, pierce holes in the bag to allow the contents to breathe. Tie the bag and place it in a shady spot for 3 – 4 months.
Step 4
Distribute your mould around perennials, garden beds, germinating seeds & container plants.
