We show you how to save the perfect seeds for your next gardening season with a simple envelope or paper bag!
You will need:
- envelopes or paper bags
- markers
- an old flip album
Step 1
Make sure your seeds are fully ripe and from healthy annual plants. Seeds to save include Marigolds, Echinacea and Zinnias.
Step 2
Make sure that the seeds are fully dry before you store them – otherwise they might rot.
Step 3
Write down as much information you need about your seeds on your envelope:
- plant type
- picked date
- preferred growing conditions
- anything special you noticed (like pests)
Step 4
This will be a great starting point when sowing your seeds next time.
Step 5
Store the seeds in a cool, dry place.
Now you are ready to plant some seeds when the season begins again!
