Create the look
What you’ll need:
- A selection of recycled bottles and tins of different heights and sizes
- Lacquer thinners and soft cloth
- Drop sheet
- Painter’s Touch 2X Metallic spray paint
Prepare
Before you start painting, make sure you protect your work area with a drop cloth. Remove any labels and glue using lacquer thinner. Wash your bottles and tins in soapy water and rinse well before before drying with a soft cloth.
Top Tip
Allow paint to dry for three days. Once cured, prepare surface for chalk by rubbing side of chalk over entire surface and erasing. Your wall is now ready for the little Picassos in your home to chalk up some fun. Only for indoor use.
Paint
Shake the Painter’s Touch 2X can for 1 minute after you hear the mixing ball begin to rattle. This will mix the paint evenly. Hold the can upright, 30cm from the surface, and spray onto the bottles. Use slow steady hand motions to avoid drips and runs, slightly overlapping each stroke. Before applying the second and final coat within an hour or after 48 hours. Follow the on can recoating times to avoid any paint fails.
Finish
The paint will be touch dry in half and hour. Leave over night before you start to experiment with your flower arrangements.
