- Bucket
- Latex gloves
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Duct tape
Materials you will need
- Cement
- Builder’s sand
- Water
- Cardboard
- Mosaic tiles
- Pattex FT101

Step 1
Start by making the mould out of cardboard. You need a base and four sides.

Step 2
Place duct tape on the base of the mould

Step 3
Place the pieces for the sides in a row and cover with duct tape.

Step 4
Secure the sides to the base with duct tape.

Step 5
Wear latex gloves and mix equal parts of cement and sand in a bucket. Add water in small increments and mix well until the cement has the consistency of dough.

Step 6
Press the cement mixture into the mould and remove bubbles by tapping the sides and gently banging the mould on your work surface.

Step 7
Leave to dry for at least 48 hours. Cut away the cardboard to release the hardened cement shape from the mould.

Step 8
Glue the mosaic tiles onto the cement block using tiny blobs of Pattex FT101. Leave for 24 hours to allow the FT101 to cure.
