Use an old tyre and colourful rope to make this bright and sturdy, eye-catching footstool.
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Jigsaw
- G-clamps
- Electric screwdriver
- Old tyre
- 2 ski ropes or any rope of your choice
- Hardboard 915 x 1 220 mm
- No More Nails adhesive
- 75 cut screws 4,5 x 40 mm
- 3 aluminium legs
Step 1
Place the tyre on the hardboard and mark the size of the inside. Use a ruler to mark 5 cm bigger than this circle. Use the jigsaw to cut out the bigger circle.
Step 2
Fix the hardboard to the tyre with No More Nails adhesive.
Step 3
Mark the centre on the hardboard.
Step 4
Glue the rope down on the hardboard and the tyre with No More Nails. Start in the centre and coil the rope, covering the hardboard and the tyre.
Step 5
Place the aluminium legs at the base of the tyre. Measure the space between the legs so they’re evenly spaced.
Step 6
Secure in place with cut screws.
