How to make a hurricane lamp

• Masking tape
• Hot glue gun
• 2-litre glass jar
• Brown twine (50 m roll)
• White sand (500 g)
• Pillar candle 6 x 8 cm

Step 1

Put masking tape around the bottom of the jar to guide you while sticking down the twine.

Step 2

Fix the twine in a spiral around the jar with the hot glue gun until it forms a strip about 4 cm wide.

Step 3

Remove the masking tape. Wind twine around the neck of the jar and secure with a knot.

Step 4

Pour sand in the jar and add the candle.
