Let your light shine! Create a warm and cosy ambience with these easy to make string lights. For under R500 you can light up special nooks in your home.

Materials you will need:
- Eurolux Halogen Globe B22 Glass (70w) 5 pack
- Aberdare Surfix 2 Core and Earth 1.5mm x 10m – Black
- Ellies White Plug Top
- Builders Bayonet Cap Illumination Lamp Holder (5 pack)

Step 1
Bare the end the electrical cord and the ends of the wires inside the electrical cord.

Step 2
Unscrew the plug cover, and unscrew the little screws on each of the plug’s pins.

Step 3
Insert the wires into the holes in the pins, and tighten the little screw on each of the plug’s pins. Earth wire = top pin, red live wire = right pin and black neutral wire = left pin.

Step 4
Unscrew the bayonet cap. Place the wire into the bottom half and firmly screw the top of the bayonet cap back on.

Step 5
Place the light bulb into the bayonet cap.

Step 6
Plug in your rope light to test that it works and repeat with the rest of your lights, and you are done!
