Healthy cooking with Eiger

These days there’s one thing trendier than cooking healthily – cooking quickly and easily – and Eiger has two products that offer both.

Air fryers are brilliant, using hot air to cook food quickly and with very little oil. They’re also versatile and can be used to cook anything from pizzas to chips, chicken to fish. Two other advantages of an air fryer is that it is compact and so doesn’t take up much space on your kitchen counter and it uses far less electricity than a full-size oven.

The Eiger Air Fryer features a 5.5 L basket (which is big for an air fryer) and has eight preset cooking programs that modify the temperature and duration to suit the food being prepared, for the perfect result every time. You can also set the time and temperature manually, with temperatures from 80°C – 200°C and time of up to 60 minutes. It is rated at 1700 W, which means you can run your air fryer on a generator or even an inverter. And when you’re done cooking, you can pop the basket and pan in the dishwasher, although they do take up a lot of space.

Another healthy cooking option is the Eiger Health Griller, which has a ribbed surface that allows fat to run off when cooking and into a drip tray for disposal. The top cooking surface adjusts automatically to the thickness of the food being prepared, from thin slices of brinjal to toasting a roll or grilling a thick steak. Moreover, the temperature can be adjusted to fit the dish you’re cooking.

Cleaning the Health Griller is easy as it’s non-stick – just wipe with a paper towel or a damp cloth with a little dishwashing liquid and then a wipe clean.
